Tackling specific management challenges with focused workshops
Challenged with supplementing their already robust internal development effort, the management team at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, chose Vanderbilt to provide supplemental professional development experiences to alumni of their proprietary Leadership Development Series.
Vanderbilt’s Custom Solution for NASA
Vanderbilt faculty were brought on board as supplemental instructors to provide expertise in areas of leadership development and organizational performance. Our NASA Client Team developed a special series of four focused workshops for employees who were graduates of NASA’s internal, comprehensive leadership development program. Each workshop was delivered on campus at the Marshall Space Flight Center.
The topics chosen for each workshop session addressed relevant leadership issues or specific challenges currently faced by these leadership development alumni in their present management positions. Topics included managing change, coordinating and integrating people and resources, developing capabilities and making effective decisions.
