Alejo Icaza

Prior to joining the Owen Graduate School of Management, Alejo worked for CEMEX, a construction materials company in his home country of Nicaragua. During his 6 years with the company he held several positions, most of them related to cement operations. He also spent several months at the company’s headquarters in Monterrey, Mexico analyzing and revising capital expenditures. A Texas A&M University graduate with a degree in industrial engineering, Alejo worked for one year at semiconductor solutions provider Applied Materials in Austin, TX. At Owen he is concentrating in finance and strategy. During his first year he participated in an immersion trip to the United Arab Emirates and worked on a small consulting project in China. This past summer Alejo joined Monsanto Company’s finance group for an internship in St. Louis, MO where he supported the Capital Planning and Analysis team. In his free time he likes to hike (especially volcanoes), go to the beach and get together with friends.
