Biography:
Professor Posavac’s research focuses on consumer judgment and decision processes, advertising and persuasion, and valuation of environmental amenities. His research has appeared in such leading publications as the Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing Research, Marketing Letters, Journal of Economic Psychology, Journal of Experimental Psychology: Applied, Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes. He is currently an Area Editor for the Journal of Consumer Psychology, and serves on the editorial review boards of the Journal of Consumer Research and the Journal of Economic Psychology. Posavac served as co-chair of the 2003 Society for Consumer Psychology conference, and is chairing the 2010 Advertising and Consumer Psychology conference. He recently completed his term as President of the Society for Consumer Psychology.
Prior to joining Owen, Posavac was associate professor and Associate Dean of MBA Programs at the Simon Graduate School of Business at the University of Rochester, where he focused on program development, and oversaw curriculum, academic affairs, admissions, placement, and student services.
