BRAZIL: Fall Break 2009

Members of the Global Business Association organized a business immersion trip to Brazil for 20 Owen students over fall break 2009. The goal was to provide the students with an inside perspective on how various Brazilian and international companies conduct business in Brazil. The trip started with a three day stint in Rio de Janiero followed by four days in Sao Paulo. The agenda included visits to Vale, Petrobras, Einstein Hospital, Natura, Bridgestone, Embraer, Johnson & Johnson, and the University of Sao Paulo. Dinner at the Brazilian steakhouses, the Flamengo vs. Sao Paulo soccer match and attractions such as Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf were a few of the highlights of the trip.
