Owen’s Career Management Center (CMC) is staffed by professionals from the business world—many with their own advanced business degrees—who help by providing students with career consultation as well as educational, networking, and interviewing opportunities. As the central nervous system for both full-time and internship placements, Owen’s CMC provides a variety of services to students and recruiters to help the two come together in mutually beneficial ways.
- We collect student résumés and share them with recruiting organizations.
- We publish annual, electronic student Résumé Books and make them available as a searchable online listing for recruiters.
- We schedule and coordinate on-campus recruiting events and interviews.
- We offer interviews by videoconference with companies that prefer this alternative to campus recruiting, and we arrange telephone interviews as preliminary steps in the recruiting process.
- We post job opportunities for students, using a variety of print and electronic campus media.
- We coordinate company-sponsored information sessions and events to connect students with hiring organizations.
- We provide City Treks, in which students travel to various cities for interviews and information sessions.
