Recruiting Checklist
Planning and Promoting Your Visit
- Schedule an interview date with the Career Management Center (CMC). Request a parking pass if you plan to drive.
- Send company literature to the CMC for placement in the Walker Management Library.
- Plan to promote your campus visit with the following options:
- Company information session
- Private reception or dinner
- Student organization events and activities
- Advertising in Bottom Line
- Thursday Evening Socials
- Email job description(s) to amy.zimmerman@owen.vanderbilt.edu or sandy.kinnett@owen.vanderbilt.edu.
- Book hotel and flights early to get the best rates and fares.
Sourcing Candidates
- Order complimentary online résumé books to identify potential candidates.
- Feel free to contact our CMC professionals for information on each functional area.
- Review résumés collected by the CMC through job postings in Owen’s internal campus recruiting system. We handle the legwork for you by managing and advertising the postings and then emailing résumés to you in one bundle!
Finalizing Details for Interview Date
- Provide interview selections, including an alternate list in preferred order, to the CMC.
- Provide names of recruiters to the CMC before your visit. Lunch is provided for all recruiters.
- Familiarize yourself with campus directions and parking information provided in your recruiter materials.
One week before your interview date, we’ll send you a finalized schedule.
Day of Visit
- Arrive 30 minutes before your first scheduled interview. We will have an interview schedule, candidate résumés, and a recruiter packet waiting for you.
- If you have not already received a parking pass, pick one up before you park.
- Enjoy your visit. At any point, feel free to tell us how we can make your visit easier.
