Developing an Organization’s Leadership Pipeline
Developing an Organization’s Leadership Pipeline is designed to help organizational leaders understand what is perhaps their most critical role in the area of talent management—guiding the development of a sufficient and sustainable leadership pipeline. While the leader does not have to know all of the “nuts and bolts” of these HR practices, there are some basic concepts they need to understand in order to direct activities in this area, and they need to understand the daily role they play in making this an organization priority. As Jack Welch famously said, “Fifty percent of a leader’s role is to develop talent.” Do you know what to do with that fifty percent of your time? This program will help fill in the blanks. You will be exposed to leading edge thinking in what makes a leader effective, how best to develop leaders that will be effective and how to create a culture that continually challenges leaders to be more effective. Along the way, you will define what this means for you personally and your role as an organization leader. This program is not designed to make you an expert in Leadership Development, but to make you a better strategic steward of this key talent management function.
