See why our place is the right place for you.
Time and again, prospective students who become Owen students say, “The visit sealed it!” Check out our Virtual Visit for just a hint of why this is. Then plan a visit to our campus to see for yourself.
What makes the difference?
Maybe it’s because we treat you like an individual—not a number—from the moment you walk in the door, or that we help you focus on your career success from the moment you apply. Perhaps it’s our beautiful campus in a city that’s simply a great place to live. Maybe it’s the incredible students you meet when you step into Management Hall. Could it be exposure to renowned yet friendly faculty who welcome you into their classrooms? Or maybe it’s the chance to learn more about our curriculum. Take your pick.
The Owen experience is all this and more. So give it a try first-hand. Come for a visit. Stay for your career.
Arrange a Campus Visit
We are delighted that you are considering visiting the Vanderbilt University campus in Nashville, Tennessee. Visiting the Vanderbilt MAcc program at Owen is a great way to determine whether Vanderbilt is the right school for you. A campus visit offers you an insider’s view and is the best way to gain a realistic impression of life as a Vanderbilt MAcc student.
Although we welcome you to campus at any time during normal business hours, organized campus visits are offered only Monday through Thursday while classes are in session. We do not schedule organized visits during final exam periods, breaks, or holidays.

Nashville
As one New York City alumnus put it, Nashville is a city where “there’s music in the air, a light sprinkling of snow on the ground in winter, and year-round golf.” It’s a city that students enjoy calling home while they pursue an advanced business degree at Owen. And it’s a city that ranks high on lists of great places to live and work, including:
- #1 Most Friendly City in America by Travel + Leisure
- Fortune ranks Nashville as one of the 15 best cities for work and family
- #2 “Best Metros for Standard of Living” in Expansion Management’s “Annual Quality of Life Quotient” (May 2003)
- Ranked in the top 7 “coolest and most affordable cities” by Kiplinger.com
- #4 by Black Enterprise among best cities in America for African Americans
- #6 in BestJobsUSA.com’s “Top 20 Best Places to Live and Work in America”
- #8 among Moody’s Investors Service top 10 most diversified local economies (June 2003)
- #25 in Forbes magazine’s listing of top places for business and careers (May 2003)
Nashville has become a national nexus for banking, insurance, publishing, medicine, music, and education. With more than 1.3 million residents—including 43,000 students enrolled in the city’s eight colleges and universities—Nashville boasts attractions such as museums, restaurants, and parks amid a beautiful landscape. And Owen students enjoy becoming involved across the community in civic and charitable causes that improve life here for years to come.
As Tennessee’s capital city, Nashville is a vital business center with booming industries including healthcare, music recording, manufacturing, printing, and distribution. Companies with corporate headquarters or major facilities here rely on three interstate highways and the conveniently located Nashville International Airport for doing business with their customers and partners. Two major convention centers and numerous trade shows draw thousands each year, contributing to the city’s dynamic pace.
Nashville is also home to professional sports, entertainment, and fun. The Tennessee Titans bring NFL action to the downtown riverfront, and the NHL’s Nashville Predators offer 40-plus home hockey games a year at Gaylord Entertainment Center. Vanderbilt’s sports teams are members of the highly competitive Southeastern Conference.
