All application materials must be submitted electronically or postmarked by the deadline dates shown for each round. We usually allow a grace period of one or two weeks to allow time for the delivery of materials sent by mail or courier. Please review the instructions included with the application forms for additional details about the deposit deadlines for each round.
Application Deadlines for Vanderbilt MBA Class of 2012
October 12, 2009 - First Round Early Action Deadline
All decisions about first-round applicants will be made and communicated no later than November 20, 2009.
Early Action: October 12th deadline is designed especially for those who know that Owen is their first choice. Early Action provides you with the certainty of learning your decision by November 20th. If you are accepted in the Early Action round, you will be required to submit a non-refundable deposit of $2,500 by December 18, 2009 in order to secure your spot in the incoming class.
November 16, 2009 - Second Round Deadline
Second-round decisions will be made on a rolling basis and mailed no later than January 15, 2010. If you are accepted in the second round, you will be required to submit a non-refundable deposit of $1,500 by February 15, 2010 in order to secure your spot in the incoming class.
January 11, 2010 - Third Round Deadline
Candidates interested in being considered for nomination as a Dean’s Scholar must apply by this date. Third-round decisions will be made on a rolling basis and mailed no later than March 5, 2010. If you are accepted in the third round, you will be required to submit a non-refundable deposit of $1,500 by April 12, 2010 in order to secure your spot in the incoming class.
March 1, 2010 - Fourth Round Deadline
All domestic and international candidates must apply by this date to ensure adequate time for application review, financial aid, visa processing, and relocation. Fourth-round decisions will be made on a rolling basis and mailed no later than April 16, 2010. If you are accepted in the fourth round, you will be required to submit a non-refundable deposit of $1,500 by May 7, 2010 in order to secure your spot in the incoming class.
Application Fees
The fee for each new application or reapplication is $125. You may pay the fee with a major credit card when submitting your application online. If you choose to, you may mail a check, money order, or bank draft in U.S. dollars made payable to Vanderbilt University. We must receive your application fee and post it to your account before you will be able to submit your online application. This fee is not refundable or transferable.
