Biography:
Shawn Mobbs is a doctoral candidate in Finance at the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University. He anticipates completion of his Ph.D. in 2008.
His research interests are in the area of corporate governance focusing on CEO compensation and board structure. His dissertation focuses on the role of the board of directors in monitoring and advising management and representing shareholders interest. His current research examines the role of inside directors in enhancing board performance. He is also interested in executive team structure and incentives.
