We seek students for the PhD Program in Finance who have a minimum of one year of graduate training in economics, statistics, finance, or other quantitative disciplines and also have had rigorous mathematical training in matrix algebra, real analysis, probability, mathematical statistics, and differential equations. Individuals admitted to the program are generally offered fellowships for up to four years, conditional on their continued good standing in the program.
The internationally recognized Finance faculty at Owen is actively engaged in a broad array of research activities. Faculty research interests include corporate finance, futures, options and other derivatives, financial accounting, financial markets and institutions, market microstructure, international finance, and econometric applications in finance. While at Owen, PhD students work closely with a faculty advisor having similar research interests.
