Yvonne joined the staff of the Owen Graduate School of Management in 2003 and oversees all marketing and communications programs for the school. Since arriving at Owen, she has brought the school's various marketing initiatives into a centralized, coordinated effort and spearheaded a comprehensive branding and identity campaign encompassing all advertising, print and electronic marketing materials, including the Owen web site. After earning her MBA at the University of Southern California, Yvonne began her career with Lawry's Foods, a division of the Thomas J. Lipton Company, serving as consumer promotion manager and later as product manager on established and new products. While at The Walt Disney Company, her work on strategic alliances for the Disney Channel with McDonald's, Kodak, Procter & Gamble, Mott's and the Children's Miracle Network earned her recognition as a "young promotional star” by Adweek. Yvonne also worked as marketing director for NationsBank, a predecessor to Bank of America; TCS/Aspect Communications, a B2B telecommunications software firm; and Progeny Marketing, the direct-response marketing arm of Cendant, Inc. She shares her experience, expertise and her personal passion for marketing’s ability to “move the needle” with Owen students, both inside and outside the classroom.

Suzanne joined Owen's Marketing and Communications team in 2005. She leads marketing for the Vanderbilt MBA program, the Career Management Center and Alumni Relations. She began her career in book and magazine publishing, earned an Executive MBA from Owen in 2001, and has worked in editorial and marketing roles for Athlon Sports, Smallbusiness.com, LEGO and Education Networks of America. In her spare time, you can usually find Suzanne hanging out with her musician husband and their baby girl. Suzanne enjoys sewing plush animals out of recycled fabrics, reading, playing guitar and documenting her family history.

Allison joined Owen's Marketing and Communications team in 2010 after graduating from the Vanderbilt MBA program. She leads marketing for the Executive Programs, including Executive MBA, Americas MBA for Executives, Master of Management in Health Care, Advanced Certificate in Health Care Management, Executive Development Institute and Custom Programs for organizations. She has a background in technology project management and product development in the insurance industry, working for both Sun Life Financial and Liberty Mutual Insurance Group prior to coming to Owen. In her spare time, Allison enjoys spending time outdoors running, hiking and rock climbing as well as playing with her dog and fiancé.

Ashley joined Owen’s Marketing and Communications team in December 2011. She leads marketing for the Young Professional Programs, which include Accelerator®—Vanderbilt Summer Business Institute, MS Finance, Masters of Accountancy (MAcc) and MAcc Valuation, and the “3+2” MBA program for Vanderbilt undergraduates in select majors. Ashley earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Tennessee and spent the first 10 years of her career in public relations, both at local agencies and on her own, for clients including First American Bank and Loews Vanderbilt Plaza Hotel. Prior to joining the staff at Owen, she led public relations for Nashville Area Habitat for Humanity for seven years. In her spare time, she enjoys fitness classes at the YMCA, while her husband trains for the Music City (half) Marathon, preparing them well for keeping up with her active pre-teen daughter and teenaged son.

During the eight-year period between getting his bachelor's degree in music and beginning his graduate studies in media communication, Carlos worked in the recording industry for Mercury/Polygram and then in the publishing industry for Stereophile Magazine, where he began doing print design. Website design followed, and he spent a year running his own business—working on projects for clients such as Emma and United Methodist Publishing—before joining Owen in 2006. In addition to his work, his passions are music and his family.

Ryan joined Owen's Marketing and Communications Department as Business Editor in 2010. Previously, he served as Government and Politics Editor at The Tennessean, following earlier stints as Assistant Business Editor and as a Reporter covering Nashville's music industry. A 1996 graduate of Vanderbilt University, where he served as editor of the student newspaper, Ryan worked as a staff writer at Fast Company magazine in New York and Boston before returning to Nashville in 2005. Ryan enjoys reading, cooking, eating and getting beaten in tennis by the oldest of his three remarkable children.

Prior to joining Vanderbilt in 2007, Ann spent nine years serving as an office manager for various companies, including All Phase Exteriors, Davis Tool and Die, LLC and the University Christian Student Center at the University of Mississippi. In addition to managing the office, she enjoyed designing promotional materials and website editing. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Mississippi in graphic design and marketing. She enjoys spending time with her husband, photography, scrapbooking, outdoor activities and community service, as well as involvement in Christian ministry. Ann is also an avid football fan and can be found cheering for her favorite teams in the fall.
