After earning her MBA at Vanderbilt's Owen Graduate School of Management, Juli was hired by an Owen Executive MBA graduate as Manager, Benefit Programs for Vanderbilt University and Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 1993. Her benefits work included expertise in health, life, disability, dental, retirement and tuition discount plans. Juli spent 10 years in Vanderbilt's Executive Development Institute running Custom Programs with clients including Performance Food Group, TVA and BAI Graduate Banking Schools with up to 200 participants. In her current role since 2006, Juli is responsible not only for recruiting the Executive MBA class, but also for planning the EMBA International Residency. Prior to earning her MBA, Juli was Manager for the Limited, Inc.'s flagship store in the Los Angeles market.
Juli grew up in Southern California. In her free time she enjoys spending time on Tennessee lakes and in the Utah mountains with her husband and three children.

A former attorney specializing in non-profit organizations, Sarah joined Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management in 2006 as Assistant Director of the Executive MBA program. Beginning in 2008, Sarah began providing admissions guidance and support to the MM Health Care students, faculty and alumni and served as Program Director for the MM Health Care program until 2011. In 2011 Sarah took over the role as Program Director for the Executive MBA and Americas MBA programs, where she is responsible for all recruiting and admissions functions in conjunction with the Executive Director.
Originally from Southern California, Sarah lives in Nashville with her husband and four children. She appreciates Nashville’s friendly lifestyle, beautiful seasons and can almost always be found rock climbing, biking, or hiking with her kids through the Tennessee hills.
Macie Smitherman

A graduate of the Vanderbilt's MBA program, Macie began her post-graduate career at Continental Airlines as a Revenue Management Analyst. Macie spent the next 11 years working at a variety of corporations in positions ranging from Marketing and Sales to Business Ethics and Project Management. In 2010, Macie joined the Marketing Department at the Owen Graduate School of Management, and was instrumental in helping launch the new Owen website in the fall of 2010. In 2011, Macie joined the Executive Programs office. As Associate Director, Macie is responsible for executive student support and services, managing recruiting events and communications, and other program coordination to support the Faculty Director and Executive Director.
Macie grew up in Nashville where she was a competitive swimmer for 13 years. Besides her Sudoku habit, she enjoys reading, traveling and spending her free time with her husband, 2 boys, 2 dogs, and extended family.
Marisa Barber

Marisa joins Owen from the University of Rochester in New York, where she worked as Project Assistant for the Executive Programs office. At Rochester she helped with recruiting and student communications, event planning and CRM database projects. Marisa also focused on the social media realm, working extensively with LinkedIn and Facebook to expand awareness of Rochester’s Executive Programs. In her role with Owen, she will be working closely with the Executive MBA Team to facilitate recruiting operations and create a superior experience for the Executive MBA and Americas MBA students.
Marisa grew up in Upstate New York, where she played varsity softball and basketball. An avid sports fan, she spends much of her time watching the New York Yankees, Chicago Bears and other favorite teams. She also enjoys camping and snowboarding in the Adirondack Mountains and spending time with her family.

Tami Fassinger began her MBA career in marketing and product management with NCR Corporation in Ohio, focusing on new product releases and marketing communications. Her recruiting and training expertise includes corporate recruiting and staffing in the consulting industry as a western regional director and national recruiting director for Cap Gemini; executive search work in the technology and consulting industries for MRI in Denver; consulting to the Graduate Management Admission Council® in Virginia, owner of the GMAT® exam; university administration including EMBA degree and executive non-degree program management, MBA career services and MBA student recruiting and admissions at Vanderbilt. While at Vanderbilt's career services office, Tami co-authored Adams Job Interview Almanac, a popular business career book published in 1996. As Chief Recruiting Officer, Tami’s role helps students take a more career-centric approach to evaluating their choice of program within the Owen portfolio as well as maximizing potential career opportunities once enrolled.
A native of Sarasota, Florida, Tami lives in Franklin, Tennessee, with her husband, two daughters and her dog. She writes fiction, likes to cook, loves to eat, and spends as much time as possible outdoors or in Nashville's eclectic music venues.
