Military Candidates

The Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management welcomes candidates from the military and has a history of successful students with military backgrounds. Owen offers a number of benefits to U.S. military and former U.S. military personnel, including application fee waivers, the Yellow Ribbon Program and deferments.

Financial Aid

Eligible veterans can attend Vanderbilt University at a significantly reduced cost thanks to the school’s participation in the Yellow Ribbon GI Educational Enhancement Program. A $10,000 discount from both Vanderbilt and the government will be available for veterans who enroll in the Owen Graduate School of Management.

Military candidates typically fare well in the admissions process as they tend to have strong resumes and great interpersonal skills. They often have succeeded in dynamic leadership roles, honed the ability to work effectively in teams, and gained exposure to various regions and people of the world. They add a unique element to the classroom and culture of a business school. We consider ourselves a military friendly school. We waive the application fee for military veterans and we participate in the Yellow Ribbon GI Educational Enhancement Program which offers reduced tuition to those who are eligible.
