Alumni Council

A Letter from Alumni Council President Todd Jackson

Thank you for serving on the Owen Alumni Council. The Alumni Council is only as successful as the efforts of its membership - namely, YOU. Under the able leadership of previous Presidents Stu Miller (EMBA '84) and Susan Strayer (MBA '07), this august body gained a firm foundation and outlined clear expectations for the activities of the Alumni Council. All of that hard work resulted in a nine-year high in alumni giving at 21%! The line is trending in the right direction, but we can't let up now.

On November 11th, many of us gathered at the inaugural Alumni Council summit in Nashville.  At this meeting, we were challenged by Dean Bradford to help increase the alumni giving rate to 30% by 2015…a challenge we heartily accepted (and hope to complete by 2014)!

What is the Alumni Council?

The Alumni Council is a group of alumni volunteers, at least one representative per class, committed to helping foster meaningful class identity among their peers and connecting their classmates back to Owen. Alumni Council Representatives (ACRs) are enthusiastic supporters of Owen with a genuine interest in the future of the school. ACRs are leaders who encourage alumni participation and promote philanthropic support.
