Professor Yasin Alan joined the Operations Management group at Owen in 2012 after completing his Ph.D. at Cornell University's Johnson Graduate School of Management. His research interests lie in the interface of operations management and finance. He conducts theoretical research to study the relationship between operational decisions and financial considerations such as capital structure, growth and bankruptcy risk. He also performs empirical research to link operations to stock performance and financial distress.
Alan teaches the core operations management course and an elective course in supply chain management.
