Feb 23, 2011 | by Jake Chang

On February 23rd, 2011, Professor David Owens' MGT 541 course, New Product Design and Innovation, hosted its annual new products trade show. The theme this year is iPad Peripherals, and 9 student teams pitched different product concepts to a major accessories maker.

Throughout the mod, enrolled students learned and applied new product design/development process from idea generation and consumer research to prototyping. During the trade show, Owen students and faculty were invited to participate as buyers from major retail chains, to listen to the product pitches, and negotiate a deal to carry the new product in stores.
