Americas MBA Distinctives
Return on Investment of a Vanderbilt MBA
The new Americas MBA is an outgrowth of Vanderbilt’s highly regarded Executive MBA, a program that has demonstrated a strong Return on Investment since its inception in 1969. (Read more here.) Americas MBA students can expect this type of return and more.
The Americas MBA Alliance Certificate
In addition to earning a Vanderbilt MBA, graduates of the Americas program will earn a certificate, jointly issued by the four partner schools of the alliance—a great accomplishment to showcase on your resume.
Intensive 10-day Residential Immersions
The Year Two program of the Americas MBA for Executives is comprised of 10-day residencies in each of four countries—Brazil, Canada, Mexico and the United States. Vanderbilt’s partner schools in the Americas MBA Alliance have been selected for their expertise in the core business issues and strengths of their country as well as a deep understanding of international trade, particularly within the Western Hemisphere. Each school has a carefully crafted curriculum and supplemental activities designed to allow Americas MBA students to both “learn” and “live” the culture of that country.

Experience an International Strategy Project with a Cross-Equator Cohort
A hallmark of the Vanderbilt Executive MBA program is the year-long Business Strategy Sequence that takes place throughout the second year of study. The primary feature of the sequence is a consulting project with a client company that runs throughout the year and is completed during the summer, just prior to graduation. The Americas MBA has such a project as well.
The Americas MBA cohort, consisting of no more than 60 students from four countries, will be divided into cross-border teams; each team will be challenged to share their experience and insight and call upon all of the tools and concepts learned to date and build an integrated strategic plan for a real client company that has identified specific business challenges in the Americas. Teams will have opportunities to meet in person during the course of their in-country residencies; additionally, the schools will provide communication tools to allow teams to communicate long-distance between immersions.
