Course Description:
Examination of the nature and financial reporting aspects of various business transactions including corporate acquisitions, mergers, the formation of other strategic alliances, and accounting for governmental entities. Topics include accounting for business combinations and consolidations, joint ventures, and foreign currency translation, variable interest entities, derivatives and hedge accounting, and financial reporting under Governmental Accounting Standards. Prerequisite: MGT 411. [2]
