Course Description:
Introduction to the problem of poverty alleviation through business development. Topics include understanding the problem of poverty and developing a framework for business applications for alleviating poverty. An overview of the business models to be developed during the course including micro-finance, marketing, supply chain, and information technology. Students will also explore the range of context factors which contribute to creating the conditions of poverty and may pose obstacles to its alleviation. [2]
