Course Description:
Objectives are to gain knowledge of the functions, limitations, and challenges of financial accounting and to develop the capability to evaluate critically and understand financial accounting theory and practice. It will also introduce concepts in cost accounting that will develop students' ability to generate cost data from computerized systems and to creatively use data for management decisions. The course uses real world data and examples to illustrate the analysis of cost and revenue data for profit-maximizing decisions.
