Why Vanderbilt?
The Operations program focuses on the design and management of the processes by which products are manufactured and services are delivered to customers throughout the world. The faculty strongly believe in learning by doing, so you will be actively involved in experiential learning activities throughout your two years. The operations faculty have won international recognition for their research, teaching and publications, and have made significant contributions to knowledge about time-based competition, manufacturing cells, quality management, learning processes and manufacturing strategy.

Resume-Building Activities
Operations Management Club
The Operations Club fosters understanding of the role of operations in corporations. We share knowledge and resources for exploring careers in operations, provide case experience with real-world operations scenarios, work with faculty to expand operations-related offerings at Owen, facilitate networking opportunities and help students develop operations-specific career and interview skills. Events include meetings, guest speakers and tours, and career development workshops.

Our students took 1st place in the Avnet Supply Chain Challenge in 2011. In addition, over the past ten years, five Owen teams have taken first place in national and international Operations Management competitions for MBA students.
